Job description

HOW YOU’LL HELP US KEEP CLIMBING (OVERVIEW & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES)

The Sales Account Executive – International Specialty Sales, JV Asia (Japan) – will be a sales professional responsible for maximizing revenue and market share while prioritizing margin performance with high-yielding corporate and agency account portfolio. The position works cross-divisionally to identify opportunities, drive quality revenue and market share growth across the US Point of Sale through strategic engagement, partner enablement, and brand representation. Success requires strong consultative account management skills that optimize customer trust and perceived value, as well as the ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of customer business objectives and tailor communication of new product and service features to meet those objectives.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of Japanese corporate and agency accounts based in the US.
  • The primary objective includes accountable and successful portfolio performance as measured by the key metrics such as, but not limited to, premium revenue growth, market share, and new corporate account acquisitions including affiliates and supply-chain.
  • Drive sales actions to increase revenue and share in cooperation with Korean Air and other JV partners within a set portfolio in the US.
  • Build, maintain, and manage relationships with all account stakeholders, at varying levels, up to and including C-Suites.
  • Maintain sales agreements with key customers, deliver exceptional support and identify opportunities for relationship growth.
  • Evaluate performance and make data-driven recommendations to support sales development and optimize revenue potential.
  • Implement B2B2C initiatives promoting SkyMiles, Co-branded credit cards, Corporate Travel benefits through onsite Travel/Benefit Fair, Executive Assistant Seminar, Expatriates/traveler Seminars, or other company events.
  • Develop account strategies aligned with Specialty Sales goals and customer business objectives, using consultative account management approaches to maximize perceived customer value.
  • Present Delta and its Joint Venture partners’ key sales messages to large groups, from travel counselor and/or corporate travel manager to leadership level
  • Enterprise selling approach including elevating ancillary business profile within portfolio, e.g. Wheels Up (Delta’s charters & private aviation sales), Delta Vacations
  • Participate in the nationwide events targeting the U.S. Japanese and TPAC JV countries’ communities.
  • Liaise and represent Delta with relevant chambers of commerce, business organizations, embassies and consulates.
  • Leverage industry technology, sales platforms, and data analysis tools to identify sales opportunities and present findings to internal stakeholders through SFDC.
  • Identify, resolve, and escape customer issues, while providing feedback for continuous improvement.
