Job description

Company Description

Canyon GBS (https://canyongbs.com), based in Mesa, AZ, is a pioneering software company crafting impactful solutions powered by artificial intelligence. Our diverse range of SaaS offerings are purpose built for colleges, universities, and government agencies. Our mission is to equip organizations with compliant, powerful and affordable AI-powered technology to better serve their constituents. Through our relentless pursuit of innovation and customer-centric approach, Canyon GBS strives to be a trusted partner in navigating today's digital landscape.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly responsive and dependable Executive Assistant to support our CEO in Mesa, AZ, United States. This is a primarily remote position with regular in-person collaboration and frequent local and national travel.

This role supports a founder leading a fast-growing technology company working to challenge traditional enterprise software models and make modern, affordable solutions more accessible to colleges and public sector organizations. The pace is high, priorities shift quickly, and strong, consistent support is critical to keeping momentum.

As an Executive Assistant for Canyon GBS, you will serve as a trusted right hand, ensuring priorities move forward through strong execution, attention to detail, and consistent follow-through. You will work in close alignment with the CEO on a daily basis, helping manage competing priorities, ensuring nothing drops, and stepping in wherever needed to keep things moving.

Success in this role is measured by reliability, responsiveness, and how effectively priorities move forward without things falling through the cracks.

This role operates within a full-time structure, but the schedule will vary based on business needs. Supporting a founder in a fast-moving environment may occasionally require early mornings, evenings, or weekend availability, particularly during travel or time-sensitive situations. We aim to maintain a reasonable and sustainable workload, but flexibility and responsiveness are important for success in this role.

This role is best suited for someone who is highly organized, works well with clear direction, and takes pride in supporting others. You are comfortable receiving instructions, executing quickly and accurately, and handling a wide range of responsibilities without hesitation. It is not a fit for someone seeking a highly autonomous or strategy-focused role.

  • Manage and maintain a complex, fast-changing calendar based on direction and priorities
  • Screen and triage calls, emails, and messages with discretion
  • Join meetings when needed to capture details and ensure follow-through
  • Coordinate local and national travel, including real-time adjustments
  • Provide in-person support during meetings, events, and key engagements
  • Track tasks and ensure timely execution of requests and commitments
  • Prepare materials, presentations, and communications as directed
  • Handle day-to-day logistics such as printing, coordination, and errands
  • Respond quickly to requests and support time-sensitive needs as they arise

Salary

$80,000 - $100,000 / year

Note: This position includes competitive benefits package including major medical, dental, vision, and an unlimited PTO policy.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 3-7+ years of experience supporting an executive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to follow direction and execute tasks quickly and accurately
  • Highly responsive and dependable, especially for time-sensitive requests
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong discretion when handling sensitive information and communications
  • Experience coordinating calendars, travel, and logistics
  • Comfortable supporting both structured tasks and day-to-day logistical needs
  • Willingness to regularly travel locally and nationally and provide in-person support
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and schedules
  • Professional, low ego, and takes pride in supporting others
