Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Location: Topeka, KS
EMR: Epic
Start Date: August 2, 2026
End Date: November 1, 2026
Compensation:
Between $13,953 - $15,353 (all-in). Compensation may include a combination of taxable wages, per diems (if eligible), and reimbursements.

Summary:

HCEPInc is seeking a Urology Physician to support a well-established urology program. This opportunity offers a blend of clinic and surgical responsibilities, working alongside a collaborative team in a busy practice setting.
The ideal candidate will have experience in both clinic and operating room environments and be comfortable managing a broad range of urologic conditions and procedures. Providers with robotic surgery experience and pelvic floor reconstruction experience are highly desired.

Practice Setting:
  • Outpatient Urology Clinic
  • Operating Room
  • Inpatient Consults
  • Hospital-Based Call Coverage
  • Epic Electronic Medical Record
  • da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgical System
Schedule & Call:
  • Full-time coverage (2 FTE)
  • Ongoing assignment with ASAP start (approximately 90-day credentialing)
  • Typical schedule includes 3 clinic days and 2 operating room days per week
  • Schedule may be flexible for providers seeking less than full-time coverage
  • Shared call rotation (anticipated 1:6, pending final confirmation)
  • Call coverage provided for two hospitals located across the street from one another
  • 24-hour nurse triage handles first-call responsibilities
Patient Volume:
  • Clinic: Approximately 25–30 patients per day
  • Operating Room: Approximately 5–6 surgical cases per OR day
Support Staff:
  • 24-hour nurse triage service for first-call support
  • Collaborative practice with 2 full-time Urologists
  • Urology clinic conveniently located across the street from the hospital
  • Dedicated clinical and surgical support staff
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive urologic care in both outpatient clinic and hospital settings.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a broad range of urologic conditions.
  • Perform general urologic procedures and surgeries using both open and minimally invasive techniques.
  • Utilize the da Vinci Xi robotic surgical system when appropriate.
  • Provide inpatient consultations, postoperative care, and hospital rounding.
  • Participate in shared call coverage as assigned.
  • Document patient encounters accurately and timely within Epic EMR.
  • Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and ancillary departments to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with facility policies and standards.
Preferred Experience:
  • Robotic surgery experience preferred.
  • Pelvic floor reconstruction experience highly desired.
  • Experience managing a broad spectrum of adult urologic conditions.
Qualifications:
  • Board Eligible (minimum) or Board Certified in Urology.
  • Active and unrestricted medical license (or ability to obtain Kansas licensure).
  • Active DEA registration required.
  • Robotic surgery experience preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and patient-centered care skills.
