Job description

Director Of Practice Management

Primary Responsibility: The Director of Practice Management is responsible for directing, supervising and coordinating staff and activities at all clinic sites to provide quality, cost effective patient care. The Director of Practice Management will provide Administrative oversight of all Practice Operations. Position will also have responsibilities for marketing the strategic initiatives of the clinic corporations, recruiting providing, and maintaining relationships with providers on staff as well as outside relationships. The Director is responsible for ensuring compliance as required by Joint Commission, Rural Health Clinic Regulations, state and federal regulatory agencies and other regulatory entities.

The position reports to the CEO or his/her designee and is a member of the Senior Administrative Team. Skills & Abilities: Ability to work collaboratively with all members of the health care team. Capable of making informed and accurate decisions and influence others. Ability to effectively manage employees and expedite resolution of difficult situations. Prior clinical experience is preferred. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong correspondence, reporting skills and financial and operational analysis skills. Ability to efficiently complete tasks in a timely manner without direct supervision.

Demonstrated abilities in planning, organizing, delegating and supervising. Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures and implement processes for improvement.

  • Possess attention to detail and demonstrate good organization skills.
  • Education, Licenses/Certifications, and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in business related field strongly preferred.
  • Courses in medical terminology preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years management/administrative experience including at least 3-4 years medical office/clinic experience with demonstrated independent thought, self-direction, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of clinic office procedures, computers, medical billing systems, collections, diagnosis coding, etc. Schedule:
  • Position is Salaried, Exempt Normal schedule is Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
