Summary:
The Director of School Operations leads the strategy, execution, and
continuous improvement of operational systems across Gestalt Community Schools,
ensuring schools are safe, compliant, efficient, and positioned to support strong
academic outcomes. This role oversees facilities, school operations, enrollment,
support services, and operational systems while managing cross-functional teams
and driving network-wide excellence. The ideal candidate possesses a deep passion
for education, is knowledgeable about charter schools, and has professional
experience in school operations, project management, people management, and
related functions. This role will design and improve scalable operational systems that
support network growth.
Reports to: Chief of Strategy and Operations

Network Facilities Manager, Network Operations Manager, and Senior Manager of

Core Responsibilities: Facilities, Safety and Risk Management, School Operations
and Support Services Oversight, Recruitment and Enrollment Strategy, Systems,
Budget and Team Leadership

• Lead network-wide facilities strategy
• Oversee safety systems, compliance, and emergency preparedness
• Co-create and monitor maintenance schedules, routines, and protocols
• Manage capital projects and vendor performance
School Operations and Support Services Oversight
• Ensure strong school operations systems
• Strengthen customer service systems across schools
• Supervise the ongoing professional development, accountability systems, and
coaching support for school operations teams
