Job description

Seeking a Lab IT Engineer for a consulting position at a pharmaceutical client in Cambridge, MA 02142.

Job Summary:
  • Provide comprehensive IT support to Research and Development site.
  • Troubleshoot computer and lab equipment issues for scientists, both on-site and remotely.
  • Set up lab computers and network connections.
  • Upgrade outdated lab workstations to Windows 11 to mitigate security risks and hardware failure. Minimize downtime for scientific instruments through proactive coordination with vendors and scientists.
  • Initiate rebuild/build requests, prepare and install PC according to company standards, set up shared drive mappings, user account configuration, implement back up requirements and perform validation testing alongside the end-user.
  • Manage IT requests utilizing ticketing systems such as JIRA and IRIS to update and complete tasks.
Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting scientific laboratory environments
  • Well rounded technical support background
  • Pharmaceutical (or other regulated) industry experience
