The Manager of Healthcare Vendors & Analytics will be responsible for overseeing the Las Vegas Managed Care Specialist team and managing key healthcare vendor relationships that support the Hospitality Health Plan and analytics. This role leads contract bidding processes, cost containment initiatives, and the development of reports and executive-level presentations. The Manager ensures effective performance and alignment across multiple vendors, including customer service, claims administration, HRA management, and coalition partnerships, while driving data-informed decision-making and operational excellence.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES


Vendor & Contract Management

  • Manage healthcare vendor contracts and oversee the bidding and renewal processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and service quality.
  • Oversee vendor performance related to customer service, claims processing, and administrative functions, including MagnaCare Customer Service and Claims.
  • Manage HRA administration and vendor relationships.
  • Oversee Pacific Health Coalition partnership with Aetna CVS to ensure contractual compliance and operational effectiveness.


Cost Containment & Strategy

  • Lead cost containment initiatives and identify opportunities to reduce healthcare costs while maintaining access and quality.
  • Collaborate with internal leadership to recommend operational improvements, vendor changes, and plan design strategies.

Compliance & Performance Oversight

  • Ensure vendors meet contractual obligations, regulatory requirements, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor trends and resolve escalated vendor, claims, or service issues as needed.


Leadership & Team Management

  • Oversee and provide leadership to the Analytics and Vendor Specialist team, ensuring performance, accountability, and professional development.
  • Plans, analyzes, and evaluates programs and services, operational needs, and fiscal constraints
  • Supervises, leads, and delegates work and coaches, mentors, develops employees
  • Analyzes problems, identifies, and develops alternative solutions, projects consequences of proposed actions, and implements recommendation/solutions.
  • Recommends hires and promotions, directs, and evaluates employment decisions for all assigned positions
  • Assists with developing and coordinating policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the oversight of continued employee training requirements, safety, and quality initiatives

Analytics, Reporting & Presentations

  • Direct the development and analysis of reports related to utilization, cost containment, vendor performance and plan outcomes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting and prepare presentations for leadership, committees, and stakeholders.
  • Use data insights to support strategic planning, vendor decisions and plan design enhancements.


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS


Years of Experience and Knowledge

  • 5 ~ 7 years minimum of direct experience working directly in the RFP process and participating in the negotiations of contracts with entities such as BCBS & Aetna.
  • 3 ~ 5 years of department management experience required
  • Working experience in healthcare vendor management, analytics and managed care operations
  • Experienced in relationship building and contract negotiations
  • Experienced in project management processes
  • Experienced in data analysis and report writing
  • Working knowledge of Unions and Taft Hartley Funds preferred


Education, Licenses, and Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, analytics, or related field or equivalent work experience required
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field


Skills and Abilities

  • Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
  • Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills
  • 10% ~ 15% travel
  • Comfortable with the use of technology in the accomplishment of responsibilities such as videoconferencing, creating PowerPoint presentations, use of Excel to create statistical analysis and use of other Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Project management skills strongly desired
  • Able to manage competing deadlines and multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
