Job description

Salary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Executive in Northern Virginia to provide leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight for or growing project management team.

The ideal candidate brings deep mission-critical construction experience with a strong emphasis on operational data center environments, including retrofit, renovation, densification, and colocation projects. This individual understands the complexities of executing construction activities within live facilities while maintaining uptime requirements and coordinating closely with owners, operators, and trade partners.

In addition to providing executive leadership and mentorship to the project management team, the Project Executive must be willing and able to engage directly in project challenges, support teams through critical issues, and help drive successful day-to-day project execution.

What Youll Do

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a growing team of Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Project Engineers.
  • Establish accountability, consistency, and best practices across project teams.
  • Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and professional development initiatives.
  • Conduct regular project reviews and coaching sessions with team members.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement.

Project Oversight

  • Provide executive-level oversight for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Monitor project performance, financial health, forecasting accuracy, and risk exposure.
  • Review project budgets, schedules, procurement plans, change management, and monthly reporting.
  • Partner with Superintendents and field leadership to drive successful project execution.

Operational Support & Problem Solving

  • Serve as a resource for project teams when challenges arise, helping identify solutions and remove obstacles.
  • Step into day-to-day project issues when necessary, including owner relations, subcontractor performance, schedule recovery, procurement challenges, and cost control concerns.
  • Support project teams during critical phases of construction and high-risk situations.

Client & Business Development

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, owners, and trade partners.
  • Participate in business development efforts and strategic client engagement activities.
  • Support preconstruction and pursuit activities
  • Represent Logan Pass Construction in a professional and positive manner within the industry.

Financial & Strategic Management

  • Review project financials, forecasts, cash flow projections, and contract compliance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and project outcomes.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on staffing plans, operational improvements, and strategic growth initiatives.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 10+ years of construction project management experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years managing large-scale commercial construction projects as a Senior PM, Project Executive, or similar leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring project management teams.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of project financial management, scheduling, contract administration, procurement, and risk management.

Preferred Experience

  • Mission-critical, data center, industrial, advanced manufacturing, or other highly technical construction experience strongly preferred.
  • Direct experience delivering projects within active, operational data center environments.
  • Strong understanding of phased construction, outage planning, commissioning, turnover, and operational risk mitigation within live facilities.
  • Ability to lead both ground-up and renovation-focused project teams.
  • Experience supporting project recovery efforts, schedule acceleration, and complex problem resolution.
  • Experience with projects exceeding $50M in value.
  • Familiarity with Procore and P6

Why Youll Love Working Here

  • Opportunity to help shape and lead a rapidly growing project management organization.
  • High visibility and direct collaboration with executive leadership.
  • Work on some of the most exciting mission-critical and data center projects in the industry.
  • Competitive compensation package, performance bonus opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and career growth potential.
