Account Executive
Summary:
The Account Executive - Hunter is responsible for driving net-new revenue by identifying, pursuing, and closing new logo opportunities across mid-market and enterprise accounts. This role is built for a true hunter-someone who thrives on outbound prospecting, building executive relationships, and converting whitespace into long-term strategic partnerships.
Core Responsibilities
New Logo Acquisition - Aggressively identify, target, and close new clients within assigned territory.
Outbound Prospecting - Execute high-volume outreach through calls, email, LinkedIn, events, and partner channels.
Pipeline Generation - Build and maintain a robust 3-4x pipeline through disciplined prospecting and qualification.
Solution Positioning - Present CBTS's portfolio (cloud, managed services, cybersecurity, infrastructure, staffing) to executive stakeholders.
Territory Strategy - Develop and execute a territory plan focused on high-value verticals and whitespace accounts.
Executive Engagement - Build relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, and business leaders to drive strategic conversations.
Partner Collaboration - Work with OEM and channel partners to expand reach and accelerate deal cycles.
Forecasting & Reporting - Maintain accurate forecasting, CRM hygiene, and activity tracking.
Contract Negotiation - Lead pricing discussions, proposal development, and contract execution.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Net-new revenue attainment
New logo count per quarter
Pipeline coverage (3-4x quota)
Outbound activity metrics (calls, emails, meetings)
Territory penetration and partner engagement
Average deal size and sales cycle efficiency
Required Skills & Experience
Enterprise Sales Experience - 5-7+ years selling IT solutions, managed services, cloud, or cybersecurity.
Hunter Mentality - Proven ability to open doors, create opportunities, and win new business.
Technical Aptitude - Ability to understand and articulate CBTS's technology offerings.
C-Suite Communication - Strong executive presence and consultative selling skills.
CRM Discipline - Experience with Salesforce or similar platforms.
Negotiation & Closing - Demonstrated success closing mid-market and enterprise deals.
Preferred Experience
Background selling cloud, cybersecurity, managed services, or infrastructure
Experience working with OEM/channel partners (Cisco, AWS, Microsoft, Dell, etc.)
Prior success in a quota-carrying hunter role
Strong regional network within target verticals
Role Impact
  • This AE drives the front-end of CBTS's growth engine, expanding market presence, opening new verticals, and establishing long-term strategic relationships that fuel recurring revenue across the CBTS portfolio.

$100,000-130,000 base not including commission.
The compensation range in this posting reflects the Company's good-faith estimate at the time of publication. The applicable base pay range for any individual will be determined based on the candidate's designated primary work location as well as factors including role scope and responsibilities, required qualifications, and the individual's experience, education, skills, knowledge, and performance. Certain positions may also be eligible for additional compensation such as discretionary merit increases, bonuses, or sales-based variable compensation in accordance with applicable plans and role requirements.
