As cybersecurity continues to be a top priority for our clients, GigaKOM is expanding its security practice and seeking a Senior Solutions Architect – Cybersecurity to lead the design and evolution of advanced security architectures across enterprise and cloud environments.

This is a fully remote position supporting client environments across California.

Position Overview

The Senior Solutions Architect – Cybersecurity is a strategic, client-facing leadership role responsible for designing, guiding, and advancing cybersecurity architectures across network, cloud, identity, endpoint, and SIEM/XDR environments.

This role serves as a technical authority and trusted advisor, working closely with executive stakeholders, sales teams, and engineering resources to define security strategy, architect solutions, and guide long-term modernization initiatives.

In addition to architecture, this position provides technical oversight, escalation support, and advisory guidance—ensuring security solutions are aligned with best practices, compliance frameworks, and evolving threat landscapes.

This is a high-impact role with the opportunity to influence GigaKOM’s cybersecurity portfolio, standards, and go-to-market strategy.

What You’ll Do Lead Cybersecurity Architecture & Strategy
  • Design and lead implementation of enterprise security architectures across network, cloud, identity, endpoint, and data layers
  • Define and promote Zero Trust security frameworks and best practices
  • Establish reusable architectures and security standards across client environments
  • Guide long-term security roadmaps aligned with business and compliance objectives
Pre-Sales Leadership & Client Advisory
  • Partner with sales leadership on strategic opportunities and solution positioning
  • Lead client discovery sessions focused on risk, compliance, and architecture design
  • Present security strategies to CIOs, CISOs, and executive stakeholders
  • Drive technical leadership in proposals, RFP/RFI responses, and competitive positioning
Typical Engagements & Projects
  • Zero Trust architecture for K–12 and public sector organizations
  • Microsoft security ecosystem deployments (Microsoft Entra ID, Defender, Sentinel)
  • Endpoint security and XDR deployments (CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, others)
  • SIEM/SOC architecture and optimization (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar)
  • Network security modernization (firewalls, segmentation, secure access)
  • Identity transformation (SSO, MFA, conditional access)
  • Compliance-driven security frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001)
Identity, Cloud & Data Security Architecture
  • Design identity-first security using Microsoft Entra ID (SSO, MFA, Conditional Access)
  • Architect secure Azure-based environments with integrated security controls
  • Define governance, access policies, and identity lifecycle management
  • Secure workloads, applications, and data across hybrid environments
Security Oversight & Threat Strategy
  • Provide escalation-level guidance for complex security incidents
  • Guide SIEM strategy, detection engineering, and advanced threat analysis
  • Architect and optimize SIEM and XDR platforms including Sentinel and CrowdStrike
  • Oversee vulnerability management and remediation strategies
Network & Infrastructure Security Design
  • Architect and validate solutions across Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and similar platforms
  • Design segmentation, secure access, and perimeter defense strategies
  • Integrate network security with identity and cloud controls
Compliance, Risk & Governance
  • Lead alignment with frameworks such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, GDPR
  • Conduct risk assessments and define mitigation strategies
  • Support audit readiness and compliance initiatives
  • Advise on governance and security policy development
Collaboration & Practice Development
  • Mentor engineering teams and contribute to technical growth
  • Influence cybersecurity offerings and vendor alignment
  • Establish best practices, reference architectures, and reusable frameworks
  • Support cross-functional collaboration across sales, engineering, and leadership
Qualifications Required
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, architecture, or consulting
  • Proven experience designing enterprise-scale cybersecurity architectures
  • Strong expertise across network, cloud, identity, endpoint, and SIEM/XDR domains
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Microsoft Sentinel
    • CrowdStrike (or similar XDR platforms)
    • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Deep understanding of Zero Trust, IAM, MFA, SSO, PKI, and security frameworks
  • Experience in client-facing, pre-sales, or consulting roles
  • Strong communication skills with executive-level stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Preferred
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA
  • Vendor certifications (Cisco Security, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Microsoft Security, CrowdStrike)
  • Experience supporting California SLED (K–12, higher education, government) clients
  • Experience leading complex RFPs and large-scale security initiatives
