Job description

BrightStar Care is looking for an experienced strategic sourcing leader to build and lead an enterprise-wide supplier management program from the ground up. 
You'll have the opportunity to design the strategy, create the structure, negotiate the deals, and directly influence how BrightStar Care manages and leverages supplier relationships across our organization and franchise network. 
If you enjoy building programs, negotiating complex agreements, creating measurable value, and working directly with senior supplier leaders, this could be a highly impactful next step. ResponsibilitiesAs Director of Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management, you’ll serve as both the architect of our supplier program you will:
  • Lead funding efforts for our annual conferences.
  • Build and formalize BrightStar Care’s enterprise supplier management program, including supplier segmentation, scorecards, QBRs/EBRs, governance, and performance expectations. 
  • Lead vendor negotiations and identify opportunities to leverage the scale of the BrightStar Care franchise network to secure stronger pricing, terms, rebates, and supplier commitments. 
  • Serve as the primary relationship leader for key suppliers, developing relationships with senior and executive-level decision-makers. 
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Marketing, Operations, and Franchise Development to ensure supplier strategies support broader business priorities. 
  • Assess current vendor management system and determine long-term strategy to organize documentation (NDAs, BAAs, MSAs, etc.). 
Required SkillsYou may be a strong fit if you have: 
  • 5–10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier management, vendor management, or category management. 
  • Significant hands-on experience negotiating MSAs and complex commercial agreements. 
  • Experience designing or significantly scaling a supplier relationship management or supplier performance program. 
  • Strong negotiation skills and the executive presence to build credible relationships with VP- and C-suite-level supplier partners. 
  • Experience structuring rebates, volume incentives, or other performance-based commercial arrangements. 
  • Strong financial acumen, including total cost of ownership, rebate modeling, spend analysis, and business-case development. 
  • Experience using enterprise, multi-unit, franchise, or network-wide purchasing scale to improve supplier terms. 
  • A bachelor’s degree is required. 
  • CPSM, CSCP, or a similar sourcing or supply-chain certification is a plus. 
Experience within healthcare, franchising, or another multi-unit organization is also a plus, but not required.

Compensation & Work Environment 
Salary Range: $135,000–$165,000 annually 
The salary range listed reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Actual compensation will be based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, and other job-related considerations. 
Base salary is one component of our overall compensation package, which may also include performance-based incentives, benefits, paid time off, and other offerings depending on the position and eligibility. 
This position is hybrid (2-3 days/week in the Bannockburn, IL office) and requires up to 20% travel for supplier meetings, industry conferences, and BrightStar Care franchise events.
