Conti supports some of the most demanding clients in the country, including OEM manufacturing plants and facilities for the Big 3, with projects spanning regional and national markets.

As part of continued growth, Conti is launching its first in‑house Electrical Pre‑Fabrication Shop at its Sterling Heights headquarters to support an expanding pipeline of electrical, battery storage, and technology‑driven projects.

Position Summary

The Electrical Pre‑Fabrication Manager is responsible for establishing, managing, and scaling Conti’s electrical prefabrication operations. This is an engineering‑driven leadership role, focused on converting BIM models and engineering intent into efficient, repeatable, high‑quality prefabricated electrical assemblies

This role will oversee all operational and technical aspects of the electrical prefab shop, including engineering coordination, production planning, workflow design, and execution. The position will be office‑based within the prefab facility, with a dedicated, air‑conditioned office environment, and direct oversight of shop operations.

This is the first role of its kind at Conti and will play a key role in shaping the company’s long‑term prefab strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Pre‑Fabrication Leadership & Operations

  • Establish and manage Conti’s first electrical prefabrication shop
  • Oversee day‑to‑day prefab operations, production scheduling, and workflow efficiency
  • Develop and implement prefab standards, procedures, and quality controls
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, and production sequencing to support project demands
  • Ensure prefab deliverables align with project schedules, budgets, and quality expectations

Engineering, BIM & Technical Execution

  • Lead the development of:
    • Spool sheets
    • Cut sheets
    • Prefabrication and assembly drawings
  • Work closely with BIM/VDC and engineering teams to translate models into buildable prefab solutions
  • Support fabrication of:
    • Electrical strut racks
    • Modular raceway assemblies
    • Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) components
    • Prefabricated electrical assemblies for data centers, industrial, and commercial projects
  • Ensure constructability, accuracy, and consistency between design and production

Project Integration & Collaboration

  • Partner with estimating, project management, and operations teams to integrate prefab into execution strategies
  • Support projects across:
    • Data centers
    • Advanced manufacturing
    • High‑level commercial and industrial facilities
  • Provide prefab solutions that reduce field labor, improve safety, and accelerate schedules

Business Development & Process Growth

  • Leverage industry relationships and technical expertise to support additional prefab‑driven work
  • Collaborate with business development teams during pursuits to highlight prefab advantages
  • Support continuous improvement of prefab workflows, documentation, and production standards
  • Help scale prefab capacity as Conti’s national workload expands

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, construction engineering, BIM/VDC, or technical preconstruction roles
  • Strong engineering background with experience producing:
    • Spool sheets
    • Cut sheets
    • Electrical fabrication documentation
  • Demonstrated experience working with BIM‑based workflows
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems used in:
    • Data centers
    • Industrial and advanced manufacturing facilities
    • Battery energy storage and high‑level commercial projects
  • Experience managing operational workflows or technical teams
  • Strong communication and cross‑functional coordination skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience launching or managing an electrical prefabrication or modular construction operation
  • Familiarity with strut rack systems, modular electrical assemblies, and BESS infrastructure
  • Exposure to national or multi‑market construction projects
  • Business development or client‑facing experience tied to technical solutions

Work Environment

  • On‑site role at Conti’s Sterling Heights headquarters
  • Dedicated, climate‑controlled office located within the prefab facility
  • Direct oversight of shop floor operations with close collaboration across departments
