Location: Hurlburt Field, FL, JBSA, TX, and Keesler AFB, MS
Job Status: Full time
Clearance: Secret
Astrion has an exciting opportunity coming up for an Audio Visual Engineer to join our team and support the 39th Information Operations Squadron (39 IOS) located at Hurlburt Field, FL.
We are preparing to hire for Journeyman, Senior, and SME levels. We anticipate a start date in March/April 2026.
Cyber Operations Formal Training Support III (CyOFTS III) is a Cyber Schoolhouse program supporting delivery, development, and sustainment of cyber training across operationally relevant mission sets. The team supports instruction, curriculum and content development, training operations, and program execution at multiple Air Force and joint training locations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
  • Active secret clearance
  • Education and experience depend on the skill level.
    • Will require previous AV Engineering experience

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide A/V engineering support consistent with the Audio/Visual Engineer labor category and required A/V certification(s).
  • You will design, install, troubleshoot, maintain, splice, and terminate all copper and fiber cables for all 39 IOS networks.
  • You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and AV systems including, but not limited to: Cameras, N-Version Execution (NVX) Encoders, Digital Media NVX (DM-NVX) Encoders, Digital Signal Processors, Microphones, Speakers, Amplifiers, Televisions/Displays, Servers, Switches, and Routers.
  • You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software including, but not limited to: Crestron, Christie Spyder, Christie Controller, Bosch, Dante, Jabber, WebEx, Codecs and Touch Panels.
  • You will install, troubleshoot, maintain, set up and schedule VTCs along with maintaining the recording system and inventorying the recordings.
  • You will understand, design, and implement networks in accordance with best practices including, but not limited to: 2-Tier Model, 3-Tier Model, and First Hop Redundancy.
  • You will design, configure, install, troubleshoot, and maintain switches and switching technologies including, but not limited to: Access Ports, Trunk Ports, VLAN, Native VLAN, Private VLAN, Multicast, STP, MAC, CAM, and CEF.
  • You will design, configure, install, troubleshoot, and maintain routers and routing technologies including, but not limited to: Static and Dynamic Routing and Multicast.
  • You will create and maintain documentation for all installs and changes including, but not limited to: Diagrams (Layer 1, Layer 2, Layer 3, Boundary, Core, Distribution, Access), Rack elevations and Ports and Protocols lists.
  • Apply cyber and/or information technology duties and experiences specifically with relation to A/V systems.
  • Support A/V system integration with underlying IT/network infrastructure aligned to applicable DCWF work roles (e.g., Network Operations Specialist; Enterprise Architect).
  • Provide technical support and systems development support aligned to DCWF work roles (Technical Support Specialist; Systems Developer).
  • Document and maintain A/V system configurations and engineering/support actions as applicable.
