The Construction Assistant Project Manager Position

The Construction Assistant Project Manager works closely with the Construction Project Manager and project team to support the organization and execution of projects. This role assists with material coordination, purchasing, project documentation, and communication with subcontractors, vendors, and other construction partners.

Key responsibilities include processing submittals, maintaining project logs, change orders, preparing purchase orders, tracking equipment material deliveries, project documentation, and supporting jobsite administrative needs. The Construction Assistant Project Manager provides support to Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, Commissioning teams, Safety Technicians, and other project partners to ensure projects remain organized and progress efficiently.


Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Construction Assistant Project Manager Position

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent construction experience may also be considered
  • Previous experience as a Construction PM Assistant, Project Engineer, or similar construction support role
  • Previous experience in HVAC/R or mechanical construction is a plus
  • Proficiency in ProCore, SmartSheets, and/or Google Sheets preferred
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication
