Job description

J.P. Morgan Securities Services combines Custody, Fund Services, Investment Middle Office Solutions, Data & Analytics, Derivatives Collateral Management, Liquidity Solutions and Trading Services under a common umbrella. These businesses occupy top-tier positions and are combined to provide an expanded, integrated and best-in-class suite of end-to end capabilities for our clients.
As an Executive Director in Securities Services Sales, you will serve as a Sales & Client Executive for the Securities Services businesses focused on the Insurance client segment – including strategic life insurance companies, affiliated asset managers and private capital sponsors across the US and Canada. In this capacity, you will be primarily responsible for growing our business through new client acquisition as well as a component of managing and expanding strategic existing client relationships. You will have direct client coverage responsibilities and also work with senior segment to support strategic opportunities.

Job Responsibilities
  • Identifying, prospecting, leading and winning new business with institutional clients in the Insurance client segment across the US and Canada.
  • Manage relationships with existing clients, including ownership of commercial strategy, contractual negotiations andcross-selling incremental business opportunities.
  • Create marketing materials, updates, request for proposal (RFPs) or presentations for client or internal use as needed, ensuring all materials meet brand and marketing standards;
  • Managing the client's and J.P. Morgan's mutual interests through in-depth calling and understanding of opportunities.
  • Working effectively with senior management and internal Securities Services partners across product, service and operations to deliver a best in class service to our existing clients.
  • Developing and maintaining industry and market expertise to maximize the client's business strategy while partnering with Banking, Markets, Asset Management and Payments coverage to identify new opportunities.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • An ideal candidate has at leastten years’ experience in securities services sales or related business functions with a working knowledge of one or more of the core products and Insurance/Asset Managers/Sponsors. Also open to backgrounds in sales and trading, investment management, consulting or similar client management roles.Additionally, candidates should meet the following criteria:
  • Possess strong client-facing skills able to interact at different levels of a client organization inclusive of C-Suite;
  • Possess strategic, creative and problem solving skills as well as executive written and verbal communication skills; Ability to help identify innovative solutions to best serve customers and manage risk
  • Demonstrated leadership and track record in delivering industry color back to the business to drive investment and innovation
  • Familiarity with the financial markets and investment products including traditional asset classes and alternative products;
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills as well as proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint;
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, organizational, team building and planning skills
  • This role will require a degree in a relevant field (i.e. Finance, Business Management, Computer Science, etc.).
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63 securities licenses will be required for the role so it is preferred if the candidate already is licensed. If they do not, they will need to obtain the licenses before or soon after they start
