Job description

Associate Veterinarian position open in San Bernardino County, California

State of the art privately held veterinary hospital recently expanded and is adding another veterinarian to the team. The veterinarians are supported more than 99% of veterinary hospitals with the support staff that are highly skilled and trained. This is a teaching hospital that accepts externs. Veterinarians are set up for success and have the opportunity to practice medicine without the distraction or stress of all the other components that come with working in an animal hospital. This is a busy, fast-paced hospital built on teamwork.

Experienced doctors see an array of appointments from wellness exams to surgery consults to critical patients. They are typically up to 6 doctors working each day so there is someone to bounce ideas off of when needed.

The hospital recently went through a remodel and has state-of-the-art technology, full in-house laboratory, three surgery suites, new exam rooms, doctor’s office, break room and more. Each doctor is assigned 1-2 room nurses/technicians that load rooms for them, assist with client communication, estimates and other tasks.

Qualifications include an active DVM license, an active DEA license (okay to get once hired), 1 year of experience but the hospital is open to mentoring, someone who is a team player and interested in learning and growing their medical skills.
