The Opportunity

You will serve as the hands-on operational leader overseeing commercial and industrial HVAC-R service operations for Mechanical Group across the Southwest region. This high-impact role balances office operational management with active field presence, allowing you to mentor field technicians, maintain quality assurance standards, and drive divisional profitability. Working directly alongside executive leadership, you will build and scale a premier mechanical service division within a high-performance general contracting company.


How You Will Make an Impact

  • Lead all day-to-day commercial and industrial HVAC-R service operations, scheduling, and field deployment.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of specialized commercial HVAC-R service technicians.
  • Spend approximately 20% of your time in the field conducting job walks, quality control inspections, ride-alongs, and key client visits.
  • Provide advanced technical guidance and troubleshooting support for complex commercial refrigeration, chillers, rack systems, and packaged HVAC units.
  • Review service estimates, job costing, work orders, and overall divisional profitability.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through professional communication and swift resolution of service escalation issues.
  • Monitor technician productivity, safety adherence, and hold the team accountable to core operational KPIs.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Nevada/OSHA safety standards and company quality guidelines across all jobsites.
  • Provide escalation support after hours or during weekends when critical commercial clients experience urgent mechanical issues.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • EPA 608 Certification (Universal preferred).
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on commercial or industrial HVAC-R field experience.
  • Proven supervisory or leadership experience managing commercial HVAC service technicians.
  • Deep technical knowledge of commercial HVAC-R equipment with the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and guide technicians on complex failures.
  • Experience managing service estimates, job costing, technician dispatch scheduling, and work order workflows.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record.
  • Willingness to spend approximately 20% of the workweek active on commercial jobsites.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Specialized experience with commercial refrigeration, central chillers, rack systems, or industrial mechanical infrastructure.
  • Hands-on familiarity with ServiceTitan, Procore, or similar field service and construction management software platforms.
  • Deep familiarity with the Southwest commercial construction and mechanical service market.
  • Advanced mechanical certifications or trade school credentials.
