Position Overview

The Aircraft Technician is responsible for performing safe, efficient, and high-quality aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer manuals, FAA-approved data, applicable regulations, and Jetvia's maintenance procedures. This role supports the reliability and airworthiness of Jetvia's fleet while maintaining a safe, clean, and collaborative work environment.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure all tasks assigned are completed in accordance with manufacturer's manuals and FAA accepted or approved data
  • Adhere to all applicable FARs and Company policies and procedures outlined in the General Procedures Manual (GPM) and the Company's, FAA Approved Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program
  • Interpret aircraft technical manuals, and electrical drawings
  • Responsible for movement of aircraft in hangar and on ramp, including operation of tow-tractor
  • Maintain work area in a neat, clean and safe condition always
  • Perform only those tasks for which proper training and qualification has been obtained
  • Participate, collaborate and facilitate weekly meetings to review maintenance projects progress, resolve issues related to phase inspection, service and repair to report to Director of Maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid U.S driver's license
  • Hold a Mechanic's Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
  • Meet requirements of 14 CFR Part 65.83 with at least 6 years of experience or more
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Familiar with parameters and standards established specifically in Federal Aviation Regulations, Parts 135 and 145
  • Familiar with basic inventory management functions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with others
  • Familiar with computer data entry, and Microsoft Windows based programs
  • Capable of lifting 75 lbs.
  • Able to work flexible schedule to include day and night shifts
  • Willing to travel as needed
  • Own a full tool set

Preferred

  • Experience with Learjet series Airframe and Pratt Whitney305A Engines (prefer Lear 60)

Location:

Able to reliably commute or relocate to El Paso, TX before start date.
