The Project Execution Manager will be responsible for overseeing the PV and Battery Field Construction activities, including Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural trades. This position plays a key role in the department by managing budgets, project schedules, ensuring safety objectives are achieved, and coordinating with customers. Specific key areas of focus include estimating, establishing subcontracts, supervising subcontractors and vendors, quality control, maintaining project schedules, and interfacing directly with the customer. The successful candidate will have a strong presence and ensure company objectives are achieved.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate and manage project support services including but not limited to project design, budgeting, and scheduling; pre-qualification, selection, and management of contractors, subcontractors and equipment vendors; development and structuring of project-related contracts; maintaining close contact with the customer; and production of customer deliverables
  • Manage phases of Projects in compliance with Contracts, maintain or enhance customer satisfaction, and ensure projects are completed on time and on budget
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Development, and Project Management teams in conducting design optimization and value engineering of clean generation projects
  • Conduct constructability reviews and pre-construction site walks
  • Perform cost estimating and purchasing functions
  • Direct construction contract administration and risk management activities
  • Manage budgets, schedules and invoicing, and other contract requirements to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Monitor and manage jobsites compliance with the corporate safety plan, design drawings and contract agreements
  • Ensure all project-related documentation is recorded in the project directory and/or CRM as appropriate
  • Maintain working knowledge of codes, new technology and internal company design standards/requirements
  • Oversee various testing and quality assurance checks by Engineering or subcontractor staff to verify the quality of completed projects

Job Requirements and Experience: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a construction-related field from an accredited university preferred 
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is preferred
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Renewable energy projects in both PV and Energy Storage
  • Previous budget/schedule/performance/quality responsibilities
  • Specific experience with building energy systems including electrical, Civil, PV and Energy storage systems
  • Experience in the overall integration of Design engineering, construction, start-up, close-out, turnover and subsequent O&M of a variety of Construction projects
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Has a valid US driver's license
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
  • Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate and lead people from a diverse set of backgrounds
  • Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
  • Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
  • This position is an office-based role with some travel and visits to other RWE Americas offices and field locations
  • Must be able to sit, walk, or stand for long durations of time
