Join a premier aerospace systems group to develop and test mission-critical software for advanced power distribution and flight actuation systems. As an Embedded Software Engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design high-priority programs that ensure the safety and precision of modern flight technology. This role focuses on the full software development lifecycle, emphasizing DO-178C compliance and robust system integration.
  • Design and implement complex embedded software architectures for power and actuation systems.
  • Develop efficient, maintainable code using C and C++ for real-time applications.
  • Execute comprehensive software verification and validation plans, including unit and integration testing.
  • Coordinate with hardware and systems engineers to ensure seamless software compatibility and system performance.
  • Analyze and debug embedded systems using JTAG, emulators, and advanced profiling techniques.
  • Maintain technical documentation and configuration management in alignment with rigorous aerospace standards.
  • Perform code reviews and coverage analysis to ensure adherence to MISRA C and safety protocols.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 2-7+ years of experience in embedded software development within a formal SDLC environment.
  • Expertise in C for embedded applications; familiarity with C#, Python, and assembly language is a plus.
  • Proven experience with aerospace industry standards such as DO-178C, DO-254, or ARP475A.
  • Proficiency with microcontrollers, DSPs, and debugging tools like JTAG, Coverity, or LDRA.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, code optimization, and hardware-software integration.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Comfortable working in both professional office and manufacturing/laboratory environments.
