Job description

Insurance Program Analyst
Seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to support our client's Risk Management Department. This position is responsible for data reporting, validation, reconciliation, and analysis, as well as insurance program administration, property onboarding and offboarding, and support of various insurance and financial processes!
Success in this role depends heavily on strong Excel and data analysis skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets, identifying discrepancies, creating reports, maintaining data integrity, and communicating findings effectively through Excel and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities
The Insurance Program Analyst will support the insurance, finance, and technology functions within the Risk Management Department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Data reporting, validation, reconciliation, and analysis
  • Maintaining and updating risk management information systems
  • Preparing communications and support materials related to insurance programs
  • Onboarding and offboarding properties and managing insurance program enrollment
  • Creating, maintaining, and enhancing Excel-based reports and tracking tools
  • Identifying and resolving data discrepancies across multiple systems and reports
  • Supporting insurance renewal activities through data collection and validation
  • Assisting with insurance billing, claims reconciliation, captive reporting, and risk accrual processes
  • Creating insurance quotations for new properties
  • Validating exposure and financial data used for reporting and renewal purposes
  • Providing front-line support to insurance program participants and advancing issues when appropriate
  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations and reporting materials for internal and client partners

Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting, finance, data analytics, business analysis, or a related field preferred
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Familiarity with hospitality, insurance, or risk management preferred

Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
Required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience working with large datasets
  • Experience using Pivot Tables, lookup functions (XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP), filtering, sorting, and data validation
  • Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint proficiency
  • Ability to create reports, reconcile data, and identify trends or inconsistencies

Preferred
  • Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools
  • ServiceNow, Jira, or other ticket management platforms
  • Calendar, scheduling, or project management software

Education
  • Bachelor's degree or comparable on-the-job experience

Success in This Role
The successful candidate will be someone who enjoys working with data, can quickly identify errors or inconsistencies, and is comfortable using Excel to analyze information, solve problems, and produce accurate reporting. Insurance experience is helpful, but strong analytical capabilities and advanced Excel skills are the most critical qualifications for success in this position.

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $60,000 - $80,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon's annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
