Job description

Applied Technical Services, LLC ("ATS" or the "Company") is a leading provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services. Summary: ATS is seeking a Resident Inspector for API and NDT related work for Brunswick, GA. This is a full time position working an average of 45 hours per week. No per diem, and no lodging. Relo assistance/incentive available. This is an immediate opening. MUST HAVE API 510 & 653.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform field inspections of industrial equipment (storage tanks, pressure vessels, and piping systems).
  • Generate written reports utilizing MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Manage projects ranging from $5,000 - $100,000.
  • Manage client relationships, work with inspectors, effectively communicate work progress/status with client.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Mechanical Integrity in pulp and paper industry.
  • Must hold at least API 510 & 653.
  • Additional NDT/API certs a plus.
  • AutoCAD and/or Compress experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred.

Work Conditions:
  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc.
  • Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc.
  • Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
  • Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
  • Work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.
