The following is only an outline of essential duties and responsibilities. At Engineering Manager’s discretion, this outline can change to meet current business needs.
Process / Programming Engineer is responsible for the process design and implementation of manufacturing operations. Developing and implementation of CNC Programming according to the manufacturing operations to meet production requirements. The successful candidate will be able to improve manufacturing processes / programs in order to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability.
• Develop and optimize manufacturing processes / CNC programs from inception through to start up and certification
• Assess processes, take measurements and interpret data
• Design and upgrade manufacturing processes / programs
• Support any in-process issues
• Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
• Provide process documentation and operating instructions
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
• Preferred 3-5 years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering / Multi-axis Programming
• Excellent technical skills, GD&T experience
• Knowledge of process related standards
• Working knowledge of manufacturing and inspection processes
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including fixturing
• Knowledge in tooling selection, design, and application
• CAD/CAM experience- NX experience preferred
• Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Proficient computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet multiple deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• High school diploma or GED required
• Associate degree or higher preferred
