Location Description

The Lawrence, Kansas facility is 236,000 square feet and home to about 200+ hard working team members who are proud to produce iconic pet food brands like Kibbles 'n Bits®. Lawrence is a college town and the home to both the University of Kansas and Haskell Indian Nations University with Kansas State University about 85 miles away. The city is known for a thriving music and art scene and is also the home of the University of Kansas athletic teams.

Responsibilities

Palletizer Service Operator (PSO) - D Shift

The Post Consumer Brands facility in Lawrence, KS operates on a 24/7 production schedule. Team members will work:

  • Saturday, Sunday, Monday, and every other Friday 6:00pm - 6:00am

  • Pay Rate: starts at $27.95 per hour

  • Shift premium: $1.50 per hour

Responsibilities

In the Palletizer Service Operator role, you will:

  • Operate palletizers, unitizers, and upstackers efficiently to ensure minimum downtime

  • Operate stretch wrappers efficiently and replace rolls of stretch wrap when needed

  • Responsible for palletizer changeovers and troubleshooting

  • Assist in any other areas of the warehouse as needed such as pulling pallets off the end of the line

  • Keep sanitation and safety at an excellent level in the warehouse

Qualifications

The successful candidate (s) for this role will have the following qualifications:

  • Knowledge of fork truck operations to ensure a smooth transition of product and to keep damage at a minimum

  • Knowledge of proper lifting techniques. Ability to lift sixty-five # rolls of stretch wrap into position

  • Fundamental knowledge of palletizer operation

  • Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment

  • Ability to follow rules and procedures

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel)

  • Effective communication skills

  • Detail oriented/paperwork accuracy essential to decipher loading diagrams to insure no over-weight trucks

  • Quick Learner

  • Ability to interact cross-functionally

  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision

Physical Job Demands with or without reasonable accommodations:
