Panzarella Material Recovery Facility is a growing recycling company serving South Florida. We are committed to providing reliable, sustainable services for our customers while fostering a safe and supportive work environment for our team members. 


 We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Scalehouse Operator to join our team. This role is responsible for accurately managing incoming and outgoing loads at our Material Recovery Facility (MRF), entering weights into company software, correctly charging customers, and maintaining organized records and tickets. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Weigh inbound and outbound trucks using scale equipment.
  • Accurately enter weights, customer information, and load data into company software.
  • Ensure proper charging of customers based on weight and material type. 
  • Collect and organize scale tickets and documentation for reporting. 
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with drivers, haulers, and site staff.
  • Monitor traffic flow and ensure safety compliance at the scalehouse.


Requirements

What we're looking for:

  • High School Diploma or GED (accredited) minimum required
  • Minimum of four (3) years of relevant work experience required
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory, lead, or team-leader capacity
  • Proficiency in scalehouse / weighbridge software and MS Office (Excel, Word)
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills — English REQUIRED; Spanish strongly preferred
  • Experience with MRF or solid waste compliance and regulatory reporting (FDEP, county ordinances)
  • Heavy equipment operation experience (loader, baler, forklift) with applicable certifications (preferred)
