Work Environment

The Occupational Therapist will work onsite at our Early Intervention Center, where we provide specialized services to children and adults with various mental, physical, developmental, and emotional disabilities. Key Responsibilities

As an Occupational Therapist at Renewed Care Therapy, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ cognitive, perceptual, and physical abilities, along with assessments of their home and work environments to determine necessary modifications and adaptations.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to create and implement tailored occupational therapy plans aimed at maximizing patient independence and recovery.
  • Perform intake assessments, and develop individualized treatment plans, clearly outlining achievable goals while ensuring that all inputs from patients and their families are incorporated.
  • Regularly document patient progress and update treatment plans as necessary, ensuring that communication regarding patient outcomes is promptly shared with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
  • Supervise and guide the implementation of occupational therapy plans by support staff such as aides, assistants, and students, while providing direct care as needed.
  • Act as a valuable resource for patients and families, offering information on community assistance programs, medical equipment, and referrals for follow-up care after discharge.
  • Participate in program development initiatives within the department, suggesting improvements to policies and procedures that align with best practices and national standards.
  • Carry out any additional assignments as needed to support organizational objectives and patient care.

Qualifications
