Job Description

We're looking for a highly analytical Accounting Analyst who enjoys working with data, building reports, and improving how accounting teams operate. This is a high-impact role for someone who wants to go beyond traditional accounting work-combining accounting, data, and process improvement to help the business operate more effectively.

This role is ideal for someone who brings strong accounting fundamentals, a solid understanding of cost and expense structures, and advanced Excel skills to transform complex financial data into clear, accurate, and scalable reporting solutions. You'll play a key role in supporting month-end close, strengthening reporting accuracy, and improving processes across accounting and operations.

What You'll Do

  • Partner cross-functionally with accounting, payroll, and operations to deliver reporting and analysis that supports decision-making
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Build and maintain Excel-based reports, models, and templates to support recurring accounting and reporting needs
  • Transform raw data from multiple sources into structured, accurate, and user-friendly reporting outputs
  • Support month-end close through reconciliations, variance analysis, and preparation of supporting schedules
  • Create scalable reporting tools that improve efficiency, accuracy, and consistency
  • Investigate data issues, determine root causes, and implement practical solutions
  • Support audit readiness and maintain clear, organized documentation and workpapers
  • Contribute to process improvements that reduce manual work and strengthen internal controls
Qualifications

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 3-5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in a multi-entity or high-volume environment
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, cost/expense analysis, reconciliations, accruals, month-end close and general ledger activity
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, data analysis tools)
  • Experience building reports, models, or templates from complex or raw data
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain data clearly

Nice to Have

  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems
  • Exposure to payroll data, vendor analysis, cost allocation, or operational reporting
  • Experience with Power Query, Power BI, or similar tools
