Job description

Role

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Excavation Laborer to join our team. The Excavation Laborer is responsible for performing excavation tasks on construction sites and ensuring proper removal and transportation of soil and materials. This role requires expertise in operating heavy machinery, adhering to safety protocols, and collaborating effectively with the construction team. This is an opportunity for a long-term position and to join a growing company.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare construction sites for excavation, ensuring safety and proper access for equipment
  • Assist in installing and removal of underground fuel storage tanks
  • Assist in installing and removal of temporary shoring
  • Assist in building and canopy demolitions
  • Work in confined spaces
  • Work order information and payroll is completed daily
  • Tasks vary by day
  • General laborer duties

Helpful Skills: Use of hand tools, power tools, shovels, rakes, harness and lanyard.

Working in confined spaces and ability to wear a full face respirator is a must.

Requirements and Skills

  • Must be able to pass DOT physical
  • Must be able to safely lift 50 lbs.
  • An excellent driving record is required
  • Chauffeurs license
