Job description

Responsible for operating a mini excavator to install underground electrical services for new residential homes.

Duties include:

  • Trenching for service lines
  •  Reading site plans and utility layouts
  • Safely working around existing utilities
  • Backfilling and grading trenches, and assisting crews with conduit placement and service installation.
  • Ensures equipment is operated safely, job sites remain clean and organized, and work is completed according to company standards, schedules, and local codes.


Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional vocational training or certification in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, or loaders in a construction or industrial setting.
- Proven track record of safely and efficiently operating equipment in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Experience in performing routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Required Skills and Abilities:
