Function: Assumes responsibility for ensuring the effective and efficient support of the Commercial Banking process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates the workflow for Commercial Bankers by entering new loan requests in the nCino system, ordering and reviewing commercial loan document packages throughout the application and closing process. Maintains adequate documentation to ensure compliance of bank policy with regards to proper collection of all necessary notations, forms, agreements, and signatures of commercial loan documents. Works with the Loan Documentation Department on the document packages and coordinates the loan closings/fundings.

  • Creates cover letters, communicates verbally or via email with commercial lending customers and all associated parties; including attorneys, title companies, and insurance companies involved in the loan closing process to resolve questions regarding information submitted during the application process. Communicates with the borrower and all associated parties to resolve outstanding issues regarding booked and closed loans.

  • Prepares, monitors and maintains reports used for internal and external reporting purposes.

  • Assists the Commercial Banking Officers with loan advances, disbursements, construction draws, or the requests for construction draws through CCAM.

  • Assists the Commercial Banking Officers with the tracking and completion of commercial loan documentation exceptions, CIP exceptions, and household maintenance Assists with the collection of financial statements and uploads the statements in nCino.

  • Processes detailed loan closing wire transfers, advances and transfers.

  • Assists customers in resolving any issues with loans and deposit accounts.

  • Manages workflow of all commercial loan documents including letters of credit, documentation of processed loan files for completeness and accuracy, and issuance of advances on lines of credit for commercial banking customers on an as needed basis.

  • Completes Loan Documentation Form Letters for Covenant Waivers.

  • May assume some lending responsibilities for Senior Commercial Bankers, in their absence, including attending closings as a representative of S&T Bank.

  • Provides consistent, superior quality customer service to both internal and external customers that meets or exceeds S&T Bank's standards.

  • Performs other responsibilities related to the commercial banking process as required.

  • Maintains a good working relationship with bank employees in other departments. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently, as well as motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and in turn, the organization.

Education:

Requires a four year college degree or equivalent.

Experience:

Ten plus years general experience with 5 to 10 years of specialized banking experience.

Physical Demands:

Operates a keypad device 90% of the day. Operates electronic equipment 90% of the day. Travels occasionally as required. The primary parts of the body involved in performing these tasks are the fingers, thumbs, hands and wrists and elbows. Standing is required one hour a day in a straight position. Sitting is required 6.5 hour per day in a straight position. Walking is required 30 minutes per day. Must be able to use fingers and manual dexterity skills for typing, data entry, and filing on a frequent basis of 40% of the business day. Must be able to focus visually at a close distance of 18"-20" for a period of up to 40% of the business day.
