Job description

We are looking for a dynamic young male or female who has completed a 4yr college degree and taking a year off to prepare for medical school. This individual will work as a Medical Assistant in our office to gain experience prior to medical school and also to gain extensive knowledge which they will find very useful as physicians.

Job Duties Include:

  • Patient intake: Room patients, verify histories, update medications, and record skin specific concerns in the EHR system
  • Clinical Scribing: Document diagnoses, treatment plans, and pathology details accurately in real time during patient examinations
  • Surgical Assistance: Prep surgical trays, maintain sterile fields, and assist the physician during biopsies, excisions, injections, and cosmetic procedures.
  • Behind the scenes support: Cleaning and stocking exam rooms, getting medication prior authorizations, charting in patient charts to get them ready for provider finalization.
  • Specimen Management: Label and package biopsy specimens, complete lab requisitions, and track external pathology reports
  • Patient Communication: Deliver pathology or lab results over the phone, provide wound care and treatment instructions, and process prescription refills.


As a Medical Assistant, you will be integral to delivering high-quality patient care and administrative support within a healthcare setting. Reporting to the supervising physician your core skills in medical terminology, patient service, and EHR systems will be essential for effective patient intake and management. With experience, you will assist in various clinical procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
