Job description

Housekeepers provide service to the residents in the community that enable them to function at the highest possible level.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform day-to-day environmental service functions as assigned.
  • Strip and remake beds in Independent Living areas.
  • Clean walls, doors, door handles/knobs, ceilings, light fixtures, vents, light switches/receptacle covers, thermostats, windows, baseboards and pictures by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.
  • Remove dirt, dust, grease, film etc. from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
  • Vacuum carpets and fill out carpet cleaning request forms, when applicable.
  • Clean floors to include sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, disinfecting, etc. (NOTE: assure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up prior to performing such duties).
  • Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, apartments, common areas, recreational areas, bathrooms and entrance/exit ways.
  • Clean, wash, sanitize and/or polish bathroom fixtures.
  • Clan/polish furnishings, fixtures, resident rooms, apartments, commons, recreational areas, etc., daily or as instructed.
  • Perform self inspections.
  • Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments.
