WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time
Early Morning Shift Position
Holiday and Saturday rotation
JOB TITLE: Environmental Service Technician / Laundry Tech
REPORTS TO: Environmental Services Manager
EDUCATION:
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Required Registration/License/Certification: None
JOB RESPONSIBILTIES:
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Clean and disinfect all surfaces, beds, mattresses, furniture, medical equipment, phones, remotes, computers, over bed tables
  • Remove trash
  • Polish and vacuum floors
  • Clean toilets, sinks, faucets, shower stalls and curtain walls, wall hangings, lights, HVAC diffusers, doors, door handles and frames
  • Sweep and mop all patient rooms and bathrooms, with spot mop as needed
  • Restock paper and soap products in all dispensers as needed
  • Rotate privacy curtains through laundry per pre-determined scheduled
  • Additional non-routine tasks as deemed necessary by the EVS manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking.
  • Motor coordination and manual dexterity
  • Daily lifts supplies and equipment up to 50lbs
  • Normal eyesight, with and without corrective lenses
  • Normal hearing, with or without hearing aid
  • Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching.

TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • Regularly exposed to the risk of blood borne disease.
  • Exposed to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, illness)
  • Subject to varying and unpredictable situations
  • Occasional subjected to irregular hours
  • Occasional subjected to call back hours
  • Occasional exposed to stress
  • Handles emergency or crisis situation
