Part-time or Full-time (30 hours per week)
Dayshift (3 p.m. - 9 p.m.)
Holiday and On-call
No Weekends
Department: Environmental Services
JOB RELATIONSHIPS
Responsible to: Environmental Services Manager
Responsible for: Personal duties. Does not supervise other employees
Interrelationships: Works cooperatively with all other hospital employees
JOB SUMMARY: medium duty cleaning/disinfecting of the facility.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Previous experience in a health care setting preferred / not required
Education: High School or equivalent
Req. Cert. /
Registration: None Required
Essential
Functions: Significant, standing, walking, bending, reaching, squatting, pushing and pulling.
Lifting is not to exceed 50 pounds occasionally and must be done by squatting
not bending. No pushing or pulling with a force of more then 10-25 pounds
frequently, or more than 10 pounds constantly.
Typical Working
Conditions Frequent interaction with patients / visitors, constant interaction / cooperation
with other departments / staff, frequent unexpected tasks, required to be
in the on call rotation. Occasional use of a high speed buffer.
JOB DUTIES
Clean and disinfect all surfaces, beds, mattresses" top and bottom", all furniture, medical equipment, phones, remotes, computers, over bed tables, remove trash, polish floors, vacuum carpets, clean toilets, sinks, faucets, shower stalls and curtains, walls, wall hangings, lights, HVAC diffusers, doors, door handles and frames etc.in patient rooms and bath rooms, halls, Nurses stations, common areas, dining areas, offices etc. Sweep and mop all patient rooms and bath rooms, spot mop all other floors as needed. Restock paper and soap products in all dispensers as needed. Rotate privacy curtains through laundry per pre-determined schedule.
And other non-routine tasks as deemed necessary by EVS manager.
