Shift Details: 4 pm - 12:30 am, Holidays: Rotating, Weekends: Rotating, 1 weekend every 4-5 weeks
This is an Environmental Services EA3 Process Coordinator position that serves as an informal leadership role within the Environmental Services department. Below is the comprehensive details about this position:
Primary Responsibilities:
The Process Coordinator assists the EVS management team by ensuring cleaning processes are performed correctly throughout the facility. This role acts as an extension of the Supervisor and involves learning all supervisory tasks while providing hands-on support.
Key Duties Include:
  • Quality Inspections: Conducting regular quality inspections to ensure EVS processes are being followed correctly
  • High Touch Cleaning Audits: Completing glow germ audits to verify that high touch points are being cleaned according to protocol
  • Nurse Rounding: Conducting weekly or biweekly rounds with Nurse Managers to discuss where the EVS team performed well and areas for improvement
  • Patient Care Rounding: Engaging directly with patients to ensure satisfaction with cleanliness standards
  • Service Recovery: Handling patient complaints by discussing issues with patients, ensuring corrections will be made, and having discussions with team members responsible for the patient rooms
  • Staff Competency Validation: Completing competencies on staff members and validating that processes are being followed
  • Shift Management: Completing start and end of shift team engagement, including distributing phones, assigning positions at the beginning of shifts, and collecting phones and signing team members out at the end of shifts
  • Supply Facilitation: Providing supplies to EVS staff throughout the shift as needed
  • Direct Assistance: Assisting with EVS cleaning duties when needed

Required Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of previous lead/manager experience is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of previous hospital/healthcare cleaning experience is preferred

Education Requirements
A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
