Job description

Job Title: Wedding, Event & Venue Coordinator

Reports to: Wedding, Event & Venue Supervisor 

Employment Type: Full-time, 12 month term, possibility of extension


Job Summary:

The Wedding, Event & Venue Coordinator works closely with the Wedding, Event & Venue Supervisor, Group Services & Venue Manager, Group & Corporate Program Coordinator, and the Café service provider to coordinate the execution of various group bookings and functions, including corporate rentals, weddings, tourism programs, and school programs. This individual will host various bookings and attend to client needs. Requires flexibility in availability including weekdays, evenings, and weekends as driven by client needs. This is a 1 year term position, with a possibility of extension, starting September 22, 2026 with a schedule of Tuesday to Saturday, 35 hours per week.


Primary Duties

  • Point of contact and greet facility rental clients upon arrival, assisting them as needed throughout their stay. This includes training on any FWA owned vehicles and equipment.
  • Set up facilities/rooms (tables, chairs, A/V equipment, catering, etc) as needed, ensuring timely communication to relevant onsite staff about client needs prior to client arrival.
  • Ensures that event sheets are accurate after the completion of functions so that invoicing can happen in a timely manner.
  • Communicate and meet with clients prior to events.
  • Communicate with cleaning contractors onsite.
  • Responsible for ordering facility cleaning supplies.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • 2+ years experience in events hosting, banquet, or service industry
