Job description

Who you are:

We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results! Geotab is seeking a Senior Event Operations Manager who will serve as the strategic bridge between our global events program, long-term market trends, and revenue generation. If you love technology, and are keen to join an industry leader - we would love to hear from you!

What you'll do:

The Senior Event Operations Manager owns the operational engine, data flow, and financial governance that make our events profitable. The primary focus of this role is on advocating for strategic investment, driving partnership value, and providing cross-functional leadership. Operating at the intersection of Marketing, Sales, and Finance, you will define the event campaign narrative, influence GTM priorities, and serve as the subject matter expert to ensure our events program serves as a scalable driver of business growth.

How you'll make an impact:
  • Own the centralized financial tracking for the global events program, ensuring strict alignment with defined spend targets and approved budgets.

  • Manage vendor invoicing, procurement processes, and contract tracking in partnership with the Finance team.

  • Calculate and report on event ROI, cost-per-lead (CPL), and cost-offset targets (e.g., sponsorships and exhibitor fees).

  • Maintain meticulous financial accuracy in the Global Events Calendar and relevant data platforms.

  • Serve as the primary Salesforce administrator for the events team, building and managing all event campaigns, hierarchies, and reporting dashboards.

  • Design and execute pre- and post-event marketing workflows, including email campaigns, landing pages, and automated follow-ups using our Marketing Automation platform (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot).

  • Ensure seamless data synchronization between event registration platforms and Salesforce CRM.

  • Monitor data hygiene, ensuring all event leads are accurately tagged, segmented, and routed to the correct sales representatives in real-time.

  • This role will plan, execute, and manage marketing campaigns to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and business growth.

  • The role will focus on full-funnel marketing, driving conversions, promoting solutions, and managing demand generation.

  • Own and administer event registration and management platforms.

  • Manage on-site lead retrieval systems, ensuring field teams and sponsors have the technology and training needed to capture prospect data seamlessly.

  • Develop and enhance the process for lead information acquisition, standardizing how data is collected across internal, external, and partner events.

  • Build and maintain centralized dashboards that provide leadership with real-time visibility into event performance, pipeline contribution, and attendee engagement.

  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs), opportunity influence, and accelerated deal velocity.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Partnerships to align event programming with go-to-market (GTM) priorities.

  • Implement feedback loops and post-event surveys to measure internal and external stakeholder satisfaction, using data to drive continuous improvement.

  • Cross functional alignment with supporting teams and business functions to optimize processes and global alignment to events systems and tools.

  • Leverage event performance data to identify long-term (1-5 year) opportunities and industry trends, proactively contributing to segment strategy during planning cycles.

  • Evolve association and sponsor relationships from transactional vendor management to high-value strategic partnerships that enhance company visibility and influence.

  • Facilitate a recurring feedback loop between Sales, Product Marketing, and the Events team. Act as the strategic owner of the event campaign narrative, ensuring that event messaging is aligned with GTM priorities and business objectives.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for event intelligence. Instead of simply reporting on ROI, analyze how event participation influences deal velocity and buyer intent, using these insights to advocate for resource allocation and strategic shifts.

What you'll bring to this role:
  • 8-10 years of experienceย in Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations, or Commercial Event Operations, specifically within a high-volume, high-budget B2B environment.

  • Bachelor's degreeย in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Equivalent combination of education and/or work experienceย in a related field may be substituted.

  • Expert-level proficiency in Salesforce (campaign management, lead routing, reporting, and dashboard creation). Salesforce Administrator certification is a strong plus.

  • Strong working knowledge of marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot) and how they integrate with CRM systems.

  • Hands-on experience managing event software and registration platforms (e.g., Cvent, Bizzabo, Splash, RainFocus).

  • Proven ability to manage multi-million dollar budgets, track complex expenditures, and optimize event spend.

  • Highly data-driven with a deep understanding of lead lifecycles, pipeline attribution, and B2B sales funnels.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to build scalable processes, manage multiple timelines, and hold cross-functional teams accountable.

If you got this far, we hope you're feeling excited about this role! Even if you don't feel you meet every single requirement, we still encourage you to apply.
