Director of Operations

The Director of Operations leads and manages security operations to exceed financial and operational targets across client sites while serving as the primary liaison for tenant engagement and Fire Life Safety initiatives. Approximately 50% of this role is dedicated to building strong relationships with tenants, promoting Fire Life Safety awareness, and coordinating security and emergency preparedness programs.

This role is responsible for hiring, training, and supervising a skilled security team, ensuring exceptional service delivery, client satisfaction, and positive employee experiences. The Director oversees staffing, scheduling, compliance, and service quality while analyzing operational and financial data to drive continuous improvement and profitability. Acting as the primary client liaison, this leader ensures contract compliance, resolves issues proactively, maintains strong relationships with stakeholders, and fosters an engaged, informed tenant community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train and supervise a team of Security Professionals and operational staff.
  • Manage day-to-day security operations, staffing, and scheduling to meet contractual requirements.
  • Monitor financial performance, including labor utilization, payroll, and billing.
  • Conduct site visits and security audits to ensure compliance, effectiveness, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, responsiveness, and contract retention.
  • Drive operational excellence through process improvements, performance metrics, and data analysis.
  • Ensure training, post orders, and security policies are effectively communicated and consistently enforced.
  • Serve as the primary Tenant Liaison for Fire Life Safety (FLS), dedicating approximately 50% of the role to tenant engagement and emergency preparedness initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants through regular meetings, communication, and ongoing support regarding programs and security initiatives.
  • Coordinate and deliver Fire Life Safety (FLS) training and educational programs for tenants to promote emergency preparedness and regulatory compliance.
  • Plan and host Fire Life Safety seminars and awareness events in collaboration with local fire departments, emergency management agencies, and other local authorities.
  • Partner with property management, clients, tenants, and public safety agencies to coordinate emergency planning, drills, and response protocols.
  • Lead and support tenant-focused security projects and initiatives that enhance building safety, emergency readiness, and the overall tenant experience.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for tenant questions, concerns, emergency procedures, and security programs.
