Job description

Description of Position The Athletics Event Operations Coordinator will report to the Athletic Director to support the successful execution of all Yavapai College Athletics events. This individual must develop a strong working knowledge of all event-related processes including but not limited to the following: Video streaming and live statistics Scoreboard and shot clock operation Updating of digital video board Game announcing and instant replay Concession operations and logistics Reconciliation of event revenues Organization of on-site promotions This position requires frequent communication and interaction with all YC coaches, Athletics staff members, Campus Safety, Facilities, and student workers. Prepare designated venues to host athletic events Ensure successful execution of required event processes Monitor necessary equipment and facility maintenance Assist with the coordination of student worker activities Assist with documentation of standard operating procedures Support logistics, promotion, and hosting of fundraising initiatives Assist with coordination and operation of camps and tournaments Travel as needed in support of off-campus athletic events Other duties as assigned Minimum Expectations & Requirements Valid Driver's License Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Experience within an intercollegiate athletic program Available to work nights and weekends as needed Strong time management and organizational skills Preferred Skills & Abilities Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in related field Experience working in an intercollegiate athletic program Work experience in a higher education or college environment Familiarity with NJCAA rules and regulations Essential Functions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
