As a Catering & Events Manager, you're not just overseeing all aspects of event planning and execution - you're spreading the light and warmth of hospitality by delivering memorable experiences that make the stay for every guest.
Responsibilities
Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
  • Execute high-quality events: Manage event documentation, facilitate seamless transitions throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases of events, and serve as the primary client contact to ensure smooth execution, proactive issue resolution, and an exceptional event experience
  • Create exceptional experiences: Design creative menus and catered events that maximize revenue and elevate the guest experience
  • Grow catering and events market segments - Sell/Service: Solicit new client relationships, develop proposals, and negotiate contracts to close new business. Recognizes opportunities to maximize revenue by upselling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events. Serve as the event planner primary contact following turnover on property and is responsible for his/her experience.
  • Cultivate client relationships: Maintain strong connections with existing corporate and social accounts to secure repeat business
  • Guide team performance: Communicate client requirements, provide direction, and offer feedback and coaching to ensure consistent, high-level service
