Primary Purpose

The Events Project Manager works with Event Technicians and Sr Event Project Managers to ensure quality execution of events. This position works to identify and eliminate risks, integrate functions and business operations, and other similar strategic initiatives. The Project Manager has ongoing accountability for processes, resources, and deliverables related to events.


Essential Functions
  • Manage the ongoing efforts involved with matters related to events
  • Identify potential risks and challenges and work to remove barriers that slow or prevent a successful event
  • Drive alignment to standardize event processes establish and maintain the "USS Way"
  • Improve business process efficiencies and foster the implementation of business simplification capabilities
  • Effectively facilitate discovery and requirements gathering from an array of stakeholders and subject matter experts
  • Work closely with the project teams, using both internal and external resources, and manage resource allocation and day-to-day operations during the events
  • Manage technical and non-technical aspects of the events including consulting partners, internal department resources
  • Serve as liaison between the customer and the stakeholders regarding event
  • Ensure consistency and best practices are applied to each event
  • Provide solutions to complex, high-impact business problems from event requests through implementation
  • Help to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, contributing to the development of event technicians
  • Establish and implement project management processes and methodologies for future events to ensure events are delivered on time, adhere to high-quality standards, and meet USS expectations
  • Ability to travel over 50% of the time
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
