Position Summary
The Event Services Associates support theater and event operations by preparing event spaces, assisting with room setup and reset, and helping ensure spaces are ready before, during, and after events. 
Key Responsibilities
Event Setup and Teardown:
Arrange furniture, equipment, and décor; set up stages or seating areas; and help maintain a neat, organized, and guest-ready appearance of event spaces before, during, and after events.
Logistical Support: Monitor event flow, and coordinate activities or entertainment as directed by event managers.
Food and Beverage Service: Support bar staff throughout the event which may include replenishing ice, changing out kegs and or soda syrups, swapping out CO2 canisters, monitoring and replenishing supplies as needed. Assist with the setup and breakdown of any mobile bars.
Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to performing light janitorial work that may include but not limited to, cleanup of spills, removal of trash and recycling, bussing tables, restocking cleaning or restroom supplies and wiping down equipment as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedule Flexibility in schedule, able to work days, nights, weekends and some holidays.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to arrive on time for scheduled shifts
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods. Must also be able to walk up and down stairs with ease, carrying heavy objects at times.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Customer service mindset and professional demeanor

Preferred:
  • Experience in hospitality, or event venue operations
  • Basic knowledge of beverage service.
  • Customer service and communication skills to interact with diverse attendees.
  • Familiarity with performing arts or entertainment venues
  • In addition to English, multilingual Spanish, Portuguese, Kriolu (Cape Verdean Creole), Haitian Creole, or K’iche
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking and lifting throughout the venue
  • Frequently required to bend, kneel, reach, and lift supplies and equipment
  • Regularly lift and carry items up to 50 lbs (furniture, equipment, boxes of supplies, trash bags)
  • Navigate stairs and uneven surfaces in historic building
  • Work in varying temperatures (air-conditioned interior, external loading dock areas)
  • Fast-paced environment during events with multiple tasks and time-sensitive deadlines
  • Evening and weekend work required; schedule varies based on performance calendar
