Job description

Shipyard Sports & Events Center is looking for reliable, energetic, and people-focused individuals to join our team as Event & Site Supervisors. This new part-time role is ideal for college students looking for hands-on experience in sports and event operations or adults seeking flexible weekend work in a fun and active environment.
As an Event & Site Supervisor, you'll help ensure that our leagues, tournaments, rentals, and events run smoothly by managing the front-line experience for guests, overseeing facility activity, and assisting with set-up and breakdown for games or events.
What You'll Do:
  • Serve as the on-site contact during events, providing support to staff, teams, and spectators.
  • Greet players, parents, and guests while maintaining a welcoming environment.
  • Monitor schedule flow and help keep events on-time and organized.
  • Support front desk operations including registrations, rentals, and general inquiries.
  • Set up and tear down equipment for leagues, camps, and facility rentals.
  • Address guest questions or concerns and escalate issues when needed.
  • Keep the facility spaces clean, safe, and presentable during your shift.

We're Looking For:
  • Age 18+ required
  • A team player with strong communication skills
  • Organized, responsible, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working independently during events
  • Passion for sports and/or interest in event operations is a plus
  • Previous experience in customer service or youth sports (preferred but not required)
