Job description

About Ahrefs
Ahrefs is a SaaS marketing platform that helps businesses become discoverable and unmissable online. We offer a suite of tools for SEO, content marketing, and website performance - backed by 15 years of web crawling data and increasingly powered by AI to deliver strategic insights at scale. We're bootstrapped, profitable, and multinational, with offices in Palo Alto, Cambridge (MA), Singapore and Tokyo. Our culture is fast-moving, low-ego, and built on smart decisions and ownership.
The Role
You'll lead the marketing strategy and creative execution for Ahrefs' global events program, and play a central creative role in Ahrefs Evolve, our global annual conference series. This isn't a pure logistics role: you're the person who helps shape how Ahrefs shows up at events visually and strategically, from audience campaigns to booth design to swag.
You'll report to the Global Head of Events, and work closely with our Global Partnerships & Revenue Manager (Singapore-based) on Evolve sponsorship activations and sponsored events across the US, Europe and APAC. For fulfilment and operational execution, you'll partner closely with our Singapore-based Event Operations Executive. You own the creative brief and speaker relationships; they own making it happen on the ground.
This role is based out of one of our US offices, Palo Alto or Cambridge (MA). You can be based in whichever of these you have the legal right to work in, but this is an on-site role: we're looking for someone who'll be in the office with the team.
What You'll Do
  • Lead event marketing strategy and execution - audience targeting, multi-channel campaigns (email, social, partnerships, content), registration drives, and post-event follow-up.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for Ahrefs Evolve confirmed speakers - from the moment a booking is made by the influencer team through to post-event follow-up. Speakers should never need to wonder who to contact: you own the relationship, the briefing, and the experience. You'll relay logistics requirements to the Event Operations Manager so speakers deal with one person throughout.
  • Own creative direction for Evolve, our global annual conference - including fabrication, booth design, and overall brand experience, briefing and working closely with designers across Europe and Asia.
  • Manage sponsorship booth design and creative for field events and regional activations worldwide.
  • Lead swag creative direction: concept, design standards, and brand alignment - coordinating with the Event Operations Manager, who owns vendor management and fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with the Global Head of Events and Global Partnerships & Revenue Manager on Evolve strategy and sponsorship activation planning.
  • Manage timelines and creative vendor relationships across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with communities, partners, and event venues across the US, Europe and APAC.
  • Provide cross-regional creative support for select events in Europe and Singapore, ensuring consistency across all markets.
  • Track and report on event performance - attendance, engagement, brand impact, and ROI.
You'll Thrive Here If
  • You've run B2B field marketing programs or event portfolios with both large-scale and grassroots activations.
  • You're a strong event marketer with solid creative instincts, you understand audience segmentation, campaign mechanics, and how to build an experience that drives registration and engagement.
  • You've managed fabrication, booth design, or brand experience at events, you know how to brief designers, hold vendors to a standard, and translate a brand into a physical space.
  • You understand where your ownership ends and your operational partner's begins, you hand off a complete, approved brief and trust execution to follow.
  • You're highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without dropping quality.
  • You make decisions confidently within your remit and escalate when budget, scope, or brand is affected and you're comfortable coordinating with teammates across US, European and Asian time zones.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • You have the legal right to work in the US, and you're comfortable with international travel, this is a global program, so expect regular trips to Europe and Singapore.
Bonus
  • Experience with event technology platforms (registration, AV, attendee engagement tools)
  • Background in SaaS, tech, or digital marketing industries
  • Familiarity with SEO, content marketing, or developer/marketer communities
  • Experience supporting or running events across multiple regions
What We Offer
  • Annual company retreat to connect with the global team
  • Conference budget to stay sharp and connected in your field
  • Generous paid time off to recharge
  • Connect Program, travel to our other offices and meet teammates in person
  • A proper workspace and equipment in the office

Location: Palo Alto or Cambridge (MA) - on-site
