OVERVIEW
 
The Level99 team is seeking a hands-on Sales Manager for its rapidly growing Events & Group Sales segment, ideally with a strong sales skillset, as well as a broad range of interpersonal and organizational skills, capable of interfacing directly with prospective customers as well as working with the management team to grow our organization and continue building a best-in-class experience as we scale to multiple venues. The Events Sales Manager will report directly to the company’s Regional Director of Events Sales. The work requires an independent thinker who will self-start and work often unsupervised with excellent collaboration skills. Our team is highly collaborative, working alongside teammates from multiple disciplines to produce optimal results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ownership of qualifying prospective leads with the purpose of converting the highest value clients into confirmed sales.
  • Primary sales efforts include taking leads, soliciting business, lead generation, generating proposals, and contract negotiations.
  • Interfacing with clients and team members across the organization to ensure a seamless transition between Sales and Operations for the execution of successful client events.
  • Daily use of TripleSeat, Level99’s Event and Group Sales management tool, to coordinate bookings and balance venue capacity to help the business reach its financial goals.
  • Participate in weekly Event & Group Sales coordination meetings with the operations team, ensuring all guest requests and expectations are upheld and the team has the information required to successfully execute upcoming scheduled bookings.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities for proactive sales outreach for the purpose of building long-term relationships and driving demand for Level99 Events beyond organic inbound demand.
  • Support the execution of Events and Group Sales on the floor on an as needed basis.
  • Partner with marketing & creative to support the crafting of guest-facing messaging and collateral to support end-to-end Events & Group Sales communications.
  • Attend monthly networking events, plus the attendance and presentation at regional and national conferences.
  • Partner with operations and culinary to be the eyes and ears to guest feedback, supporting the iteration of on-brand food and beverage offerings that facilitate events and encourage incremental sales and repeat business.
  • Travel (as necessary) between venues to support overall team collaboration, leverage learnings and best practices, and drive the overall success of Level99 Events & Group Sales.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies for both inbound and outbound event sales, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with the Regional Director of Event Sales to identify and capitalize on market opportunities.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders, enhancing the company's reputation and business prospects.
  • Oversee the coordination and management of all event sales activities, including client inquiries, proposals, contracts, and post-event follow-ups.
  • Utilize CRM software to effectively track sales progress, forecast revenues, and analyze market trends.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and develop action plans to address any issues and drive continuous improvement in sales processes and results.
  • Participate in regional and national industry events to network, promote the company, and stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices.
  • Provide leadership and support to multiple locations, ensuring consistent and high-quality service delivery.
  • Drive the strategic growth of the event sales department, identifying opportunities for expansion and new market penetration.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge, plus attending local networking events.
  • Maintain a positive, upbeat, pro-active attitude and inspire the same in co-workers.

MUST-HAVE SKILLS
  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in sales, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience as an Event Sales Manager or similar role with at least 4 years of experience in event planning and sales.
  • Strong guest-facing communication skills
  • Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Requires strong computer skills and proficiency in Google Suite and/or Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
  • Experience with planning and project management
  • Flexibility to multi-task and handle conflicting deadlines.
  • Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and administrative skills, as well as excellent attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to promote positive, fair, and ethical relations with all team members as an ambassador of the Level99 brand
  • A reliable car, current driver's license and safe driving record are required
  • Compassionate, empathetic, humble, respectful, and kind – very high emotional intelligence
OTHER DESIRABLE (BUT NOT NECESSARY) SKILLS & EXPERIENCE INCLUDE
  • Experience with TripleSeat or similar event management software
  • Knowledge of a second language, particularly Spanish, a plus
