Cole Valley Christian Schools, established in 1972, is the largest Christian school in Idaho, serving approximately 1,400 students from early childhood through 12th grade with a culture of grace, truth and love. Job Summary:

Cole Valley Christian Schools is seeking God’s wisdom as we search for a Christ following, dynamic, and gifted individual to join our incredible staff. The Advancement and Events Coordinator supports the Development Office in advancing the mission of Cole Valley Christian Schools through exceptional fundraising events, donor engagement, and accurate development systems. This role leads the planning and execution of the Annual Gala and other signature events while coordinating auction, sponsorship, donor data, reporting, and event logistics with creativity, precision, and Christ-centered hospitality.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning and execution of the Annual Gala and other signature fundraising, donor engagement, and community events.
  • Develop event timelines and coordinate vendors, catering, rentals, décor, audiovisual needs, signage, registration, seating, hospitality, and day-of event logistics.
  • Coordinate auction administration, including procurement tracking, item management, software setup, checkout, reporting, and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate sponsorship fulfillment and recognition before, during, and following events.
  • Recruit, organize, and support event volunteers; collaborate with Marketing & Communications Coordinator on invitations, collateral, presentations, and event promotion.
  • Track event budgets, expenses, contracts, invoices, and project deadlines.
  • Manage donor database system including; maintaining accurate donor, gift, campaign, sponsorship, and event records and assisting with gift coding and acknowledgements.
  • Prepare fundraising, campaign, event, and leadership reports; maintain registration and attendance records and support data quality.
  • Support capital campaign initiatives, annual fundraising efforts, Development Office projects, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • A testimony of faith in Jesus Christ.
  • Desire to invest in and disciple students in their relationship with the Lord.
  • A heart to serve our families, staff and students.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in unity as part of a team, serving others.
  • A passion for the CVCS mission and Christian Education.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience coordinating events, fundraising initiatives, projects, hospitality, nonprofit work, or related functions preferred.
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, follow-through, communication, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong computer proficiency required
  • Experience with donor CRM and/or auction software preferred.
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as required by the event calendar.


Spiritual Qualifications:

  • Profess a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and have made Him both Savior and Lord as represented in Scripture (John 14:1-27; Ephesians 2:8-22) and accepts without reservation the Statement of Faith of Cole Valley Christian Schools.
  • Have a history of faithfully attending and financially supporting a Bible believing church.
  • Have a verifiable history of living and modeling Christian character in employee's personal and professional life, serving as a Christian role model first to family and friends and then to students, parents, and fellow faculty and staff members in regard to personal judgment, dignity, and Christian living. This is expressed in such passages as Ephesians 5:21-23; Colossians 3:12-17; and 2 Peter 1:1-10. Individual's life in Christ must continue to be faithfully pursued in and out of the workplace as a condition of continuing in this ministry position.
  • Willing to submit to the authority of those who have oversight of the school (1 Peter 2, 9-20), and to fully cooperate with these authorities and adhere to the policies adopted by the School Board in both letter and intent.
  • Strive at all times to understand, appreciate, love, and nurture the students entrusted to employee for instruction, supervision, and/or oversight, and must provide for their fullest spiritual, intellectual, physical, and emotional development.


Job Data:

  • Hours: Full-time, 215 contract days.
  • Salary: Starts at $50,000 per year. Actual salary is dependent upon experience.
  • Benefits: Eligible for health, life, disability and retirement plan.
  • Tuition Discount: 50% discount on tuition. Does not include fees.
