Pay Range: $81,000 - $117,000
The Indirect Sourcing Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives across assigned indirect spend categories to deliver measurable cost savings, optimize total cost of ownership, and support organizational objectives. This role serves as a trusted business partner to key stakeholders, collaborating across functions to understand business needs, align sourcing strategies, and drive value through effective procurement solutions. The Indirect Sourcing Category Manager will lead supplier and vendor management activities, including supplier selection, contract negotiations, performance management, and risk mitigation, while fostering strong supplier relationships that support quality, innovation, service, and continuity of supply. This position will support the Tempur Sealy operations team through the management of assigned Indirect Category.
What You'll Do (Essential Duties and Responsibilities):
  • Establishing strong relationships with internal business partners; building a robust understanding of strategic business direction, requirements, and priorities across assigned suppliers and/or spend categories, while challenging the status quo
  • Developing sourcing strategies to deliver against business objectives while influencing internal stakeholders and helping teams understand trade-offs between cost, risk and speed
  • Evaluating supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and benchmarking analysis; leveraging key-insights to inform and support the category strategy development process.
  • Managing the fundamentals of sourcing and supplier engagement activities including RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation.
  • Working with business and finance leaders to identify and drive savings, while focusing on total cost of ownership.
  • Preparing and holding business reviews with stakeholders and suppliers to review performance, future opportunities, and/or challenges.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need (Qualifications):
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in preferably Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance or Engineering.
  • 3+ years of direct or indirect sourcing experience. Experience managing Logistics, Capital and Facilities is preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of delivering significant, quantifiable cost savings (e.g., multi-million dollar annual savings) through contract negotiation, consolidation, and co-terming strategies.
  • Experience managing sourcing categories across multiple global entities or business units, with a proven track record of standardizing processes and driving synergy savings post-acquisition or integration.
  • Advanced proficiency in Strategic Sourcing and Category Management, including leading complex RFx processes and vendor negotiations end-to-end.
  • Strong working knowledge of contract structures and legal terms, with experience reviewing MSAs, SOWs, and amendments in partnership with Legal.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Software Programs is required including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Familiarity with Source-to-Pay (S2P) systems and platforms, with experience leveraging these tools to manage sourcing events, contracts, and supplier data.
  • Hands-on experience using AI-enabled platforms such as Copilot to identify, develop, and execute sourcing strategies, including building or deploying AI tools to improve procurement or contract review workflows.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building, teamwork, analytical thinking and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to build and sustain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across cross-functional teams.
