About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and people-focused Regional Manager to support the continued growth and development of our Building Technologies business across the Midwest region. Ideally located in Chicago, Illinois or Indianapolis, Indiana, this leadership role will focus on coaching and developing a team of professionals, driving regional business strategy, and supporting long-term market growth initiatives.

The Regional Manager will lead a team of four direct reports and serve as a key link between field execution and organizational strategy. This position does not carry direct customer account responsibility. Instead, the successful candidate will focus on talent development, business planning, market analysis, cross-functional collaboration, and execution of strategic initiatives that strengthen REHAU's position within the building technologies market.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader, coach, and communicator who can inspire high performance, develop talent, and translate business objectives into actionable regional plans.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of four direct reports.
  • Conduct regular performance discussions, career development planning, and succession planning activities.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance and support to help team members achieve individual and organizational goals.
  • Identify skill gaps and development opportunities within the team.
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and talent development initiatives as needed.

Strategic Planning & Market Development

  • Develop and execute regional business strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and industry developments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Partner with Sales, Product Management, Marketing, and Operations to support strategic initiatives and business priorities.
  • Evaluate regional performance and recommend actions to improve market penetration and business results.
  • Assist with forecasting, business planning, and long-range growth initiatives.
  • Monitor regulatory, economic, and industry trends impacting the Building Technologies market.
  • Support new product launches and market expansion initiatives.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment between strategic objectives and execution.
  • Lead regional initiatives and projects that support organizational growth and operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and present business updates, recommendations, and strategic plans to senior leadership.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and resource to leadership regarding regional opportunities and challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in building products, construction, manufacturing, plumbing, or a related industry.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience with responsibility for coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams through influence, development, and accountability.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic planning experience.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
