Operations Supervisor
POSITION: Operations Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
FLSA STATUS: Part-time Hourly, Non-Exempt
SUMMARY
Legends Global has an immediate opening for an Operations Supervisor at the Boeing Center at Tech Port located in San Antonio, Texas. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the daily activities required to run, maintain, and service the facilities and /or the events by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assists the Operations Manager in directing, supervising all aspects of operations, including engineering; building and grounds; technical services; event services, including ADA compliance; public safety; security; custodial services and parking departments.
  • Assists the Operations Manager in Leading an Ops team to work independently with minimal supervision to accurately execute the vision and needs of any given event.
  • Assist with coordinating the operations activities with other building departments and show-related contractors.
  • Implement facility rules, regulation policies and procedures.
  • Anticipate problems and appropriate solutions. Investigates, analyzes, and resolves operational problems and complaints.
  • Provide clear, concise, and timely communication of directives to other departments.
  • Ensures that operations department receives pertinent information for most effective use of the facility and staffing.
  • Assures facility readiness and smooth operation of events.
  • Assists Manager on Duty as required.
  • Assists in maintaining the appearance and presentation of the facility and the grounds (including exterior perimeter, parking lots, etc.. as needed and directed by management)
  • Ability to develop a strong understanding and assist in implementing/executing all Safety Compliance Policies
  • Other Duties As Assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree from technical college with major in Management or Maintenance Engineering Preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in Operations in a similar facility
  • Additional experience may be substituted for education
  • Experience with and/or around Heavy Machinery Operation

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Basic working knowledge of measurement and diagrams.
  • Basic math ability to accurately count assets for set ups.
  • Basic knowledge of using hand tools safely and properly.
  • Ability to follow directions and effectively perform the work.
  • Positive attitude and neat appearance.
  • This position requires continuous stooping and occasional lifting up to 75 lbs, substantial standing and walking.
  • Ability to work with fluctuating schedule and updated tasks on the fly
  • Ability to work in loud environments
  • Ability to work extended and out of the ordinary working hours
  • Very Strong Attention to Details and following direction

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift, push, pull and/or move up to 75 pounds and be able to walk long distances. This position requires work in multiple climates including indoor and outdoor. This position requires minimal stooping and lifting, but substantial walking. Must be able to stand or sit for long periods of time.
