Position Title
Coordinator of Event Management and Creative Content
Job Responsibilities
This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting to the Associate Athletics Director for Communications and will assist with all phases of the athletics sports information and home athletics event management.
- Manage all aspects of athletic media relations, serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries, and assist media with information/interviews
- Write and disseminate accurate information, including but not limited to press releases, pre-season write-ups, and feature stories to internal and external audiences
- Plan, organize and execute all athletic home events, special athletic events, and strategic engagements including organizing, scheduling and staffing such events, event operations and logistics, and coordinating with vendors and partners
- Train, supervise, and schedule staff and student workers for home athletic events, ability to travel with teams when needed
- Produce, edit, and publish engaging content that aligns with athletics events, branding, and messaging through photos, video, graphics, social media and other creative assets
- Manage livestream production, create digital displays, and coordinate in-game presentation
- Assist with sports information day-to-day operations, including recording statistics and recordkeeping
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Demonstrated effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Computer proficiencies
- Previous involvement with intercollegiate athletics as student-athlete, student worker, or graduate assistant
- Ability to work evenings and weekends for home games
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in event operations and the creation of creative and digital content
- Demonstrated proficiency in videography, photography, and graphic design
- Knowledge of video editing and production
- Computer proficiency specifically with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign & Photoshop)
- Working knowledge of the Sidearm Sports content management system
- Experience with NCAA live statistics, in-game scoring software

Salary
Starting annual salary range is $39,000-$40,000.
