Job description

Wings and Waves water park is hiring Lifeguards to join our dynamic water safety team. This is an excellent opportunity to learn leadership skills, help others stay safe, and enjoy being in the pool. This position is responsible for supervising designated swimming areas and maintaining constant surveillance to ensure the safety of swimmers in all areas of the pool and water park, including pools, slides, and water play areas. Lifeguards would assist guests with general questions regarding the pool and help maintain the general cleanliness of the pool area and assist the pool operations team with day-to-day tasks. Job Duties

  • Completing necessary daily safety checks.
  • Providing excellent customer service to all guests.
  • Inspecting and maintaining slides, pools, and rescue equipment daily.
  • Attends training sessions and in-services as required.
  • Enforcing all water park policies and procedures.
  • Preventing guest injury through proactive safety communication.
  • Recognizing and preventing potential accident situations.
  • Rescuing guests showing signs of distress and administering first aid as necessary.
  • Performing job duties safely and effectively in compliance with waterpark policies, procedures, and employee manual.
  • Adhering to the waterpark dress code.
  • Knowledge of park and campus events and responds to guest inquiries as appropriate.
  • Assists with janitorial, maintenance or office work as needed.
  • Maintaining a punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment in the spirit of cooperation and continually improving the waterpark.
  • Respectfully takes direction from manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations.

Requirements:

You must be at least 16 years or older to apply for this position.

Ellis and Associates Shallow Water Lifeguard OR Special Facilities Lifeguard Training Credential required. This credential qualifies candidates to guard all bodies of water, Dispatch slides, Unload slides and lifeguard the childrenโ€™s play structure. First Aid, CPR/Oxygen Administration/AED are included in this certificate.

We will be holding the courses if you are not already certified or need to be recertified.
